Driving Routes

One of the Best Routes in BC

Lumby's unique landscape provides the starting point for one of the best circle routes in British Columbia. If you haven't already Refreshed Your Route by driving this loop, please give it a try! If you have, be sure to slow down the next time and check out natural and man made points of interest along the way. No boredom here!

As you leave behind the rolling, dry hills of the Okanagan, the landscape will transform into the deep forest and majhestic peaks of the Monashee Mountains. The free cable ferry at Needles serves as your gateway to the Kootenays, and the Arrow Lakes provide some amazing scenery along this section of the Route.

After crossing the ferry at Galena Bay and reaching Revelstoke, you'll be on the open pavement of the Trans-Canada Highway and close to the finish line. Through a portion of the Shuswap, along Mara Lake and back into the Okanagan, Highway 6 from Vernon will bring you home!
